The Shard whose height reaches 309 meters, will be opened to the public on February 1, 2013. “The View from The Shard”, which is located on 69th floor of this building, will offer the best views of the city of London and the travel icons in the surrounding areas, such as Tower Bridge, Big Ben and the River Thames.
When the weather is bad and you can’t look around, The Shard have set up sophisticated telescope of 12 inches for showing sights around The Shard that had been recorded earlier. In addition, there is an open gallery which is located on floor 72, exactly 244 meters from the ground. Besides being able to see the view from here, later on this floor there will be a swimming pool, Hotel Shangri-La, apartments, restaurants, and offices.
Tickets to see the sights of London from The Shard quite burdensome pockets. Normal price imposed is $50 for adult visitors. Although expensive, these tickets have been sold out since December 2012.
“This is the only place in London where you can see a 360 degree view of the city,” said Andy Nyberg, Chief Executive of View from The Shard, as quoted from CNN. The Shard is also promising free line up and crowded in tourist attractions, because visitors who want to enter must reserve a place first.
